In Australia we consume roughly 92 500 000 litre per day. Since we have a population of around 25 million, we need to make sure everyone has access to water.
Apart from Antarctica, Australia is the driest continent in the world. 35% of it receives so little rain it’s classified as a desert. To make it more challenging not all water that does fall can be collected for drinking water straight away. Not only that but we use and waste a lot of water when we wash our dishes, shower or flush the toilet. Even when it rains, we loose so much water down the drains.
So how can we make sure that the water that falls and we use isn’t completely wasted?
